Close Encounters
Close Encounters, Pensacola is an
off premise, couples only, club located in Pensacola,
Florida. We meet every month except October & December,
in the Landmark Lounge at the Landmark hotel on
Pensacola Blvd.
The Social is from 8:00 P.M. until 2:00 A.M. and has a
cash bar. Hospitality Suite from Midnight till 2 AM. We
have a professional D.J. for your dancing and listening
pleasure.
LA Social was founded in 1990 by Lee and Arthur and a
few close friends. Hence the name L. (Lee) A. (Arthur).
1996 agreement was reached between Close Encounters and
LA Social for LA Social to live on after the retirement
of Lee and Arthur. 2000 Close Encounters assumes
management of LA Social. August 2000 Close Encounters,
Pensacola moves back to LA Social's birthplace the
Beachside Resort on Pensacola Beach. January 2003, Close
Encounters, Pensacola moves to the Landmark Lounge on
Pensacola Blvd. Your Hostess and Host are Gail & Pee Wee.
What Do You Expect?
Most people have the wrong idea of what a swing club is.
Many think that it's just one big orgy and you check
your clothes at the door and then dive right in, doing

EncountersTM this is COMPLETELY not the case! More than
anything else, Close Encounters is a social club where
